Lotus Eye Hospital in Juhu, Mumbai, is the one of the most trusted charitable organization and has become the pioneer of affordable eye care. due to which in recent times numerous organisations have adopted similar names, but the oldest and the only branch of Lotus eye hospital is in Mumbai and has been treating patients from all over the world and every corner of India. It was founded in 1971 by the renowned economist Late Shri Manu Subedar who himself was suffering from an impaired vision. Lotus Eye Hospital is a Non-Profit Charitable Hospital which has been accredited by ISO certification. The Hospital has set up a clear goal for eradicating Visual Impairments and taken initiatives to reach each strata of the society with quality eye care at affordable cost.
Lotus Eye Hospital, Juhu is manned by a highly qualified and dedicated team of Ophthalmologists, Optometrists and trained Medical and Para-Medical staff. The Hospital is equipped with state of the art medical equipments of reputed brands and carries out numerous eye care treatments and procedures. The Hospital remains linked to high ethical standards and is presently treating over a lac patients in O.P.D. and performing about 5,000 surgeries annually.
The Hospital has well equipped speciality clinics like Cataract, Glaucoma, Cornea, Pediatric Ophthalmology, Retina, Oculoplasty etc which are manned by specialist Doctors. We are also attached with the Lotus College of Optometry which was established in the year 2000, by Late Shree Naval P. Baliwalla, as Mumbai’s first four year degree program in Optometry. The prime objective of the college is to develop human resources for rendering eye care services to grow Ophthalmic and Optometric professions. Since its establishment, the College has achieved many milestones to its credit. Besides human resource development, the College is also actively involved in research activities, community eye health and offering specialized services in Optometry.
