Cyberknife Radiosurgery

Cyberknife Radiosurgery

The CyberKnife treatment is mostly used to treat conditions such as benign and malignant primary tumors in the brain, including, but not limited to brain metastases, trigeminal neuralgia, acoustic neuromas and arteriovenous malformations (AVMs).
Despite its name, CyberKnife treatment is not a surgical invention, rather, there is no cutting involved. It is a non-invasive alternative that involves giving radiation with high level of precision required for stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS).
This procedure is done when more invasive techniques are considered ineffective or are too risky.
